#AIStocksWhatNext Elon Musk and AI Regulation: Time to Slow Down or Full Speed Ahead? 🤖🛑
The debate about the safety of Artificial Intelligence has gained a new chapter with Elon Musk’s proposal: have AI companies themselves (including Chinese and North American labs) assess each other’s models before any public release.
This discussion comes at a tense moment, when figures from OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI disagree about pausing or slowing technological progress to build safety mechanisms.
My Take (Market Insight): 💡
In my view, unilaterally slowing down in the West is almost impossible. As Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei pointed out, a pause in the US would give China a direct competitive advantage in developing cutting-edge models and infrastructure.
On the other hand, the risk of a capital bubble driven by developments without real auditing is a global source of uncertainty. For the Web3 ecosystems and crypto-assets focused on DePIN and Decentralized AI (like $TAO , NEAR, and eAIOZ), this scenario is highly favorable: the decentralization of computation and open-source code auditing via Blockchain are exactly the transparent solution to the security dilemma Big Techs face today.
I’m optimistic long-term about decentralized AI networks, but cautious about regulatory volatility in the short term.
Which side are you on: preventive slowdown for safety or accelerated progress in development?
