Bernie Sanders, this is incredible—he wants to ban super AI by legislation and even set up an “AI Department.” So the U.S. is worried about AI getting out of control, and also worried about falling behind—meaning first it throws a wrench in the works and then talks?
It doesn’t have much direct impact on the crypto market, but on a macro level, the tone on technology regulation has gotten tighter, and risk assets are bound to shake along with it. Don’t expect BTC to be a safe haven—it’s basically a high-beta risk indicator right now.
