Cardano’s code has moved forward with x402’s official kit.
Developers can use ADA to complete interface payments.
No account needed, and no subscription.
The first version is in TypeScript; the Python version is on the way.
This standard breathes new life into HTTP’s 402 status code.
Payment and verification are bundled into the same request.
The initial support also includes native stablecoins.
x402 has accumulated over 120 million transactions.
Most of the activity is running on Base, and there’s also a batch on Solana.
Cardano’s own data is still zero.
Mainnet deployment hasn’t started.
There are fewer payments, but they happen frequently.
Fees and confirmation speed are hard benchmarks.
The list also includes Solana and the XRP Ledger.
In addition to adapters, it includes sample code.
On other chains, the DeFi scale is only $65 million.
