All the spike-high period was just shorts getting overwhelmed: within 24 hours, $2.5 million was liquidated across the entire network. Shorts accounted for 67%. At 10:41 AM, Bybit’s largest single order cleared 530,000 short positions, losing $1.34 million.
As soon as the price dipped, the sentiment flipped instantly. In the past hour alone, $1.39 million was liquidated. Shorts made up only $71—almost all the buy orders came from late-chasing long traders.
