The cryptocurrency market is again showing increased activity.

Bitcoin is holding around $86,000, Ethereum — around $2,770, and XRP is trading near $1.60. At the same time, XRP has shown especially strong momentum: about +25% over the past week.

But the most interesting thing right now isn’t the growth figure itself.

🐋 What’s happening with XRP?

Trading volume for XRP sharply increased on the market. According to CryptoSlate, XRP derivatives volume reached around $7.4 billion, and the move was accompanied by the closing of a significant amount of short positions.

At the same time, on September 22, the XRP-ETF received about $20 million in net inflows, which became the largest daily inflow into XRP-ETFs in September according to the figures cited by Coingabbar. (Coin Gabbar)

So right now there are several factors at once:

• growth of XRP itself

• increase in trading volumes

• capital inflow into the ETF

• closing shorts

• strong BTC

• renewed interest in altcoins

📊 What to watch for regarding XRP?

$1.50–1.53 is an important zone to watch during the correction.

If XRP continues to hold above this area, market attention may shift to the next resistance levels.

In the $1.60–1.65 area there is an important zone to watch.

Basing above it on higher volume could change the structure of the move.

But if the price quickly returns below $1.50, the current momentum may turn out to be just a typical bounce after a strong move.

🚨 The main mistake right now

After XRP rose by about 25% in a week, buying only out of fear of missing the move is risky.

It’s much more interesting to watch:

price → volume → ETF inflows → BTC reaction.

If BTC continues to hold above $85,000, and XRP maintains elevated volumes, the market will get an interesting combination to watch further.

But the crypto market remains highly volatile.
