Take it—within a day it jumped to almost double, from 0.058 to 0.168.
I searched around, but couldn’t find any new announcement. No listings, no new products—there’s nothing on the news front.
So it’s down to the chart.
In the past 24 hours, the low was 0.058 and the high was 0.1727; the range in between is nearly double. Trading volume is 17.1 million, market cap is 58.8 million, and turnover is almost 30% in a single day.
This looks like someone accumulating, not retail traders stacking it up.
I wrote about this coin on August 6. Back then it was 0.0659. What it’s doing is moving the trading of game accounts, gear, and in-game currency onto the chain—money and goods are locked in a contract so people can’t be scammed. At the time, I said the demand was real.
There’s also a rather coincidental timing point. Its partner, itemBay, has over 30 million users. On the roadmap, TakeSHOP is scheduled for this year’s third quarter—right now it’s the final week of the third quarter.
Whether it’s related or not, I don’t know. Either way, the dates line up.
Last December, it reached as high as around 0.5; now it’s 0.168, still at about one-third of that level.
The 0.1727 above is today’s high—it broke through the top, so the next move would likely be higher. The 0.115 below is the midpoint of today’s candle; if it falls back there, then this wave can be considered over. #TAKE $TAKE
