A crash of 80% yet it’s still ranging for 70 days—are they building up energy or just lying flat waiting to die?

After checking today’s bottom hunter leaderboard, there are a few coins I’m genuinely uneasy about.

$RECALL current price 0.0662u, down 75.8% from the high point, now ranging for 70 days
$TRUTH current price 0.0168u, down 81.1%, ranging for 65 days
$ALLO current price 0.086u, down 87.2%, ranging for 70 days

To be honest, I’ve suffered from this kind of structure before. After a brutal drop, I watched it grind slowly for two months, looked like a bottom—then one bearish candle broke down and it dumped another 30%. So when I see this combination of a steep crash and long-term consolidation, I’m actually afraid to dip-buy too easily.

But on the other hand, a 70-day range suggests the chips have mostly been rotated—those who were dumping have basically given up, and the remaining holders’ costs are all quite close. Once funds ignite at this point, the rebound could be very strong, because there’s almost no trapped supply overhead.

My current strategy is: I won’t buy, but I’ll keep watching. Waiting for what signal?

1 Break above the top of the consolidation range, accompanied by increased volume—at least 2x the 5-day average volume
2 The overall market doesn’t show any waterfall-style selloff, and the coin moves independently
3 Ideally, it also has a narrative catalyst

On the news front, SUI and TON have recently gotten positive developments like ETFs and cross-chain wallets. But SUI still fell 6% after launching its ETF—that’s a classic “good news already priced in.” TON’s cross-chain functionality is more like foundational infrastructure and doesn’t constitute a near-term price catalyst.

My view: this position is worth paying attention to, but absolutely not worth going in heavily. Try in batches, cut losses strictly. If it breaks the range to the downside, admit you’re wrong and leave.

What do you think—can these two-month-old bottoms withstand the upcoming shakeout? If you feel the same, let’s chat in the comments.
