Both the United States and Ukraine want this absurd Russian war to end before winter. We discussed possible de-escalation measures that could pave the way for diplomacy.
I also appreciate that, in parallel, our teams continue working on launching the production of interceptor missiles for Patriot in Ukraine.
This will help protect lives, should Russia reject negotiations and continue to bet on ballistic terror against our people this winter and in the future.
We also addressed other bilateral and multilateral issues, including a winter air defense package for Ukraine.
