US stock ETFs are now being onboarded into crypto accounts, but the challenge isn’t that you can’t buy them—it’s the boundary of eligibility.

On September 22, Ondo Finance announced the listing of Ondo Stocks on near.com and NEAR Intents. The official statement says that eligible users can access tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs within a single account. The initial coverage includes 20 assets, and users can use crypto assets across more than 30 networks.

This isn’t turning traditional stocks into cash, and it doesn’t mean that every region can trade them directly. It’s more like an on-chain entry point: eligibility, custody, redemption, and actual liquidity determine how usable this access really is.

Ondo has disclosed that the platform’s scale has surpassed $1 billion in TVL and cumulative trading volume exceeds $26 billion. But size doesn’t mean every asset has the same depth. The next step will depend on near.com’s actual availability, the redemption routes for tokenized assets, and on-chain liquidity.
