This is a general announcement. The products and services mentioned here may not be available in your region.
Dear users:
To simplify user account structures and enhance the asset management experience, Binance will gradually transfer the crypto assets in users’ Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts starting from September 29, 2026. The migration is expected to last until January 2027, and specific dates will be announced separately. After the migration period ends, the Funding Account will be renamed the Stocks Account, used only for settlement of stock and stock options trading.
Migration details:
Starting from 2026-09-29, the Funding account will no longer support on-chain deposits. Users can use the Stock account for stock and stock option trading, with support for 6 settlement assets (USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, BNB).
The Funding account will be renamed to the Stock account in January 2027. The exact date will be announced separately. After the rename, users can still use the above 6 tokens to buy stocks via the Stock account. Deposits/withdrawals of other cryptocurrencies will only be supported through the Spot account.
A new “One-Click Migration” button will be added to the Funding account, allowing users to proactively migrate their crypto assets to the Spot account.
Assets that are not migrated proactively will be automatically migrated in batches by the Binance system to the Spot account starting from January 2027. No manual action is required, and users’ total asset balance will not be affected.
Please note:
We recommend that users upgrade the Binance iOS or Android App to the latest version to proactively migrate funds using the “One-Click Migration” feature. Older app versions will not support “One-Click Migration,” meaning users will be unable to proactively migrate funds; the system will automatically perform the migration starting from January 2027.
The migration will not affect users’ total asset value or the safety of their funds.
Historical trading records before and after the migration will be retained with the original “Funding account” labels and will not be modified.
About Alpha 2.0:
Starting from 2026-09-29, for Alpha 2.0 limit orders, the stablecoins used for buying and selling Alpha tokens will be deducted from users’ Alpha accounts and deposited into the Alpha accounts.
Rebates from the Limit Order Liquidity Providers Program will also be deposited into users’ Alpha accounts.
Starting from 2026-09-29, assets collected via the Binance Card and gift cards will be deposited into users’ Spot accounts.
About Binance Pay (Pay)
Starting from 2026-09-29, assets collected via Binance Pay will be deposited into users’ Spot accounts.
Assets in the Stock account will not be used to cover deductions.
Assets in the Funding account can still be used temporarily for Binance Pay transactions. However, before the rename to the Stock account, the Funding account will no longer be used as a source of payment.
After removing the Funding account as a payment source, scheduled sending plans that use only the Funding account will stop executing. Users need to reconfigure scheduled sending plans and choose another payment source.
About Convert:
Limit orders (including TPSL):
Existing unfilled limit orders freezing assets in the funding account will continue to remain frozen. After 2026-09-29, these orders will be settled to the Spot account.
Expired limit orders will have their assets settled to the Spot account.
New limit orders created on and after 2026-09-29 will only freeze and settle within the Spot account.
Recurring order (DCA):
Starting from 2026-09-29, all DCA orders will be settled to the Spot account or the Wealth Management account. Any refunds for failed DCA orders will be returned to the Spot account.
We recommend updating your account selection from “Funding” to “Spot” to ensure the plan runs properly.
About API integration:
We recommend that users update the account reference in the API from Funding to Spot to align with this migration.
About C2C:
Starting from 2026-09-29, C2C users (without ad history or who are not merchants) after updating the Binance App to the latest version will, by default, use the Spot account as the source of funds for buy and sell orders.
From now until December 2026, C2C advertisers will continue to use the Funding account as the default source of funds for all C2C activities (including posting ads, merchant deposits, placing orders, and taking orders). Users posting newly published ads will also temporarily use the Funding account as the default source of funds.
Starting in December 2026, Binance will introduce a brand-new C2C専用 account exclusively for advertisers. Advertisers will need to migrate ad-related assets from the Funding account to the new C2C専用 account.
After January 2027, ads that have not been migrated to the C2C専用 account will be automatically closed.
