Alibaba unveiled a roadmap to lift its data center capacity to 20 GW by 2032, and Citi raised its capital expenditure forecast for the next three years. According to Sina Finance, analysts including Alicia Yap wrote that, based on CEO Eddie Wu Yongming's remarks at the Yunqi Conference about investing through industry partnerships, Citi assumes Alibaba will share the spending with partners.

Citi raised its capex forecasts for 2027, 2028, and 2029 to RMB 258 billion, RMB 283 billion, and RMB 282 billion, respectively, up 13%, 41%, and 57% from its previous estimates.
