BCH surged for a day, pulling up nearly 30%, reaching over $340, and its market cap is back to around $6.9 billion. There’s only one reason: the CME Group announced that it will launch Bitcoin Cash futures on October 19, and once regulatory approval is granted, it will be listed.

This coin hasn’t really been talked about much these past few years—it's an old hard-fork coin, and the community has shrunk by half. Out of the blue, mainstream derivatives markets called it out, which is somewhat unexpected. The volume bars are thicker than usual by a large margin; it doesn’t look like they were built up from retail orders being stacked.

UNI is also being included this time, but I didn’t see any sign of it in the top of the list.

With just a little over a month until it’s listed on October 19, whether today’s volume spike can hold will depend entirely on whether anyone is willing to step in and keep buying at this level.
