What is an IDO and an IEO?
They are the two most common ways a crypto project launches its token to the market.
An IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) is a launch organized by a centralized exchange. The exchange audits the project, offers it to its users, and guarantees immediate liquidity. Advantage: higher security. Disadvantage: limited and centralized access.
An IDO (Initial DEX Offering) happens directly on a decentralized exchange. Anyone can buy without intermediaries or KYC. Advantage: open access. Disadvantage: high risk of scams and extreme volatility.
The key difference is control: in an IEO, the exchange filters; in an IDO, you are your own filter.
If you’re looking for security, prefer IEOs on large exchanges. If you want total freedom and you’re willing to take the risk, IDOs are your arena.
