European diesel margins rise on Saudi pipeline restart
European diesel refining margins rose 3% on Tuesday after Saudi Arabia restarted the East-West pipeline and prepared to resume exports from Yanbu port on the Red Sea.
Low-sulfur gasoil futures were trading at $86.80 a barrel over Brent crude futures by 7:46 p.m. Saudi time, up $2.55 from the previous close.
Most of Saudi Arabia’s diesel exports are loaded at Yanbu port.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at the United Nations in New York on Tuesday. Trump is expected to urge Zelenskiy to halt Ukrainian attacks on energy infrastructure in Russia.
