Let the wind blow! The real big trend is never achieved overnight. Most of the time, it is brewed and worked out through repeated oscillations and consolidation. For the vast majority of the time, the market is in a phase of accumulating energy through range-bound movement, and only once enough momentum is built up will a directional, trend-breaking breakout arrive. Today’s market is a typical pattern of spiking up and then pulling back to consolidate—part of a healthy cycle within an ongoing uptrend. There are both highlights and low points. The most notable is that in the early hours, price surged higher all the way, stretching and breaking out to around 87,300; then during the daytime session, it faced pressure and pressed down to test lows, with BTC pulling back to around 85,100 before finding a bottom.
The later part of the day is much clearer: after the low was put in, price steadily climbed again in a slow-rising pattern. The peak was also around 86,600. Today, ETH is relatively weaker. After the 2,800 rebound and spike in the earlier period, the main structure has mostly stayed range-bound around the area of the pullback low, and the overall trend is weaker.
As for today’s intraday positioning: the spot-long “bottom grid” net was closed/rolled up successfully. This wave of swing longs also reached the target around 87,000 precisely, and in real trading it marked a fresh start. From an intraday swing perspective: during the daytime, I prompted you to go long BTC around 85,500, and go long ETH around 2,745. In real-time follow-through, BTC is currently still held in profit (floating). We’ll wait for the next leg of upside extension.
Liquidity hasn’t picked up yet, so the market’s impact from breakouts has been relatively weak—this is also an unavoidable wait during the energy-accumulation phase. The technical consolidation structure is very clear. On the 4-hour timeframe, price has been pulling back and forth around the upper band of the Bollinger Bands, alternating between bearish and bullish candles; it still needs a surge in volume to break through decisively. On the 1-hour timeframe, the Bollinger Bands’ three bands are developing toward a closing (converging) shape. Market volume has entered a phase of repair and probing, but overall the price action is steadily lifting, and the candles are showing a slow-rising structure with rising support. So, for the lackluster formation in the coming period, it’s recommended to continue to follow the trend and look for longs in line with the slow-rising structure.
BTC long in the 85,800–85,500 range Target 87,500
ETH long in the 2,735–2,730 range Target 2,780
