🚨 JUST IN: 🇺🇸 President Trump said that there are “even more ammunition and weapons than what would be needed to use them” in America.
This sentence seems to have a more Political and Geopolitical message than simply saying, “There are lots of weapons in the U.S.”
Lately, there have been increasingly frequent concerns about whether, due to the Iran conflict and other military spending, the U.S. munitions stockpile will decrease or whether there won’t be enough precision missiles.
Trump, in response to these concerns,
“America won’t become weaker militarily, and there is still plenty of ammunition.”
I can see that’s the message it wants to convey.
Here, there are three key signals 👇
1. Domestic Reassurance 🇺🇸
Wants to reduce the fear in the U.S. that “with so many wars, will weapons run out?”
2. Deterrence Message ⚔️
to rival countries like Iran, Russia, and China,
It wants to show that “U.S. military capacity hasn’t run out.”
3. Political Messaging 🏛️
America’s military readiness is still strong. It may be trying to maintain the narrative that if needed, production can be increased further.
But after hearing this statement,
“The U.S. is going to start a new war,”
So you shouldn’t take it immediately as that.
This single quote is closer to a strength signal / deterrence signal than a war signal.
From the market’s perspective, this one statement alone is neutral.
But if later there is truly escalation on the side of Iran, Taiwan, or Ukraine, then
War escalation → oil prices rise → inflation goes back up → bond yields could rise → pressure on risk assets like BTC and stocks could increase 🔴
In short —
I think it’s delivering a message both domestically and internationally that Trump is countering the fear that “the U.S. doesn’t have enough military weapons,” and that America’s military power won’t weaken.
