$26,000 USD / 1 YEAR — THE PRICE I’VE PAID FOR FUTURES
$BTC

I used to think that if I just tried a little harder, I could get it back.

Lose one trade → want to fix it.
Lose another → increase the position size.
Wrong direction → force it and hold on.
After cutting → bitterness turns into immediately finding another trade.

And just like that, $26,000 USD vanished.

Not in a single day.
Not from one “account blow-up.”

It disappeared little by little, through many times when I told myself:

"The next trade will make it back."
"No matter what price, it will come back."
"Just add a bit more margin."
"There’s no way I can be wrong again and again."

But the market doesn’t care how much money I’ve lost.

It also doesn’t owe me anything for what I lost.

The most painful realization in the end wasn’t just -$26,000 USD.

It was realizing that at times I was no longer trading by a system.

I was trading on emotion, bitterness, and the desire to get the money back really fast.

I had to pay $26,000 USD to understand a few very simple things:

If it’s wrong, cut it.
If you’re not sure about the trend, stay out.
Don’t hunt for bottoms or guess tops when the market hasn’t confirmed.
Don’t increase your position just because you’re losing.
And absolutely don’t seek revenge against the market.

Futures aren’t scary just because of leverage.

What’s truly scary is when leverage meets a mind that has lost discipline.

$26,000 USD is a huge amount of money to me.

I don’t want that money to disappear with nothing to show for it.

An extremely expensive lesson.

Don’t try to get back $26,000 USD over a few days.
No more “trying to fix it” as a goal.

The first thing to do is to stop losing money in a stupid way.

As long as there’s capital, there’s a chance.
As long as there’s discipline, there’s still a way to rebuild.

$26,000 USD is gone. A truly costly lesson...
