ZEC today is basically a meat grinder. Price barely moved—Binance and OKX both quoted $1,502, and the 24-hour gain/loss is under 0.3%. But during the session the high hit $1,573 and the low dropped to $1,443.7; the back-and-forth swing was 8.9%, and both sides’ leverage got liquidated. Washed through.
In the past 24 hours, ZEC saw a total of $15.35 million in liquidations: shorts were hit for $8.94 million, longs for $6.41 million. A total of 3,265 orders were wiped out. This amount ranks sixth across the whole market, ahead of only top coins like BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, and DOGE. A privacy coin pushing into that spot makes it obvious how high the in-the-market speculation is.
Trading is also outrageous: Binance alone has recorded $2.2 billion in volume, OKX adds another $1.3 billion, Bybit $590 million—together the three total $4.1 billion. The fee rate sits right at 0.01% (for 8 hours), and longs are still paying to stubbornly hold on.
Stalling is not equal to safety. The knives are still rotating in the plate. Do you think ZEC is wash trading or distribution?
