$TAO 24 hours up about 16%, but in the most recent full 6 hours the spot trades were 46% fewer than in the prior window. Prices continue to surge, yet the next buy orders have slowed down.

TAO’s 24-hour spot trading volume is still over $100 million, with enough depth; however, in the recent 6 hours, active buys are only 49.3%, while FET is 53.8% over the same period. In this AI rebound, TAO is still a strong coin, but the marginal buying pressure isn’t the strongest for now.

When it comes to subnet buybacks, you also need to check who the target is. Subnet Metrics counted 16 subnets that claimed to have done buybacks; over the past 30 days, only 11 have left on-chain evidence with their methods visible. The related token burning is mainly of subnet alpha, not a direct reduction of TAO’s own supply. Teams that weren’t found may also only have bought without burning.

Opportunities are still there as AI rotates. If, in the next full 6 hours, volumes pick up again and active buying returns to above 55%, TAO’s spot follow-through will be more solid; if volume keeps shrinking, you need to guard against a fast rise followed by a pullback.
