China’s Gold Imports Cross 1,000 Tons
China has imported more than 1,000 tons of gold so far in 2026, already surpassing the country’s total gold imports for all of 2025, according to Bloomberg.
The figure reflects strong demand from China’s broader gold market, while the country’s central bank has also continued adding to its reserves.
The scale of imports highlights how closely global markets are watching China’s demand for gold this year.
