On Monday, the intraday price hovered around $2,727.

Some of the buy orders come from listed companies’ treasuries.

The treasury company with the largest holdings of Ethereum bought an additional 27,562 coins last week.

Based on Monday’s price, that’s roughly $75.2 million.

Its holdings have been stacked up to 5.98394 million ETH.

The combined size of crypto assets plus cash is $17.1 billion.

Company chairman Tom Lee said institutions are still under-allocated.

He expects more capital to flow in during the last three months of this year.

Since the end of June, Ethereum is up about 76%.

Spot ETFs and treasury companies are the two streams of buying in this round.

Staking yields have become a second layer of returns for holders.

The amount of Ethereum locked by staking is still increasing.

Neither of these two buying streams is focused on short-term prices.

The price is still some distance from its all-time high.

For crypto, ongoing corporate treasury buying is better at supporting prices than a one-time surge.
