TAO is in the market’s clearest breakout group. As of the data cutoff at 13:59 on 22/09/2026 (UTC+7), Binance Spot recorded TAO at around 317.4 USDT, up about 18% in 24 hours with TAO/USDT liquidity exceeding 109 million USDT. CoinGecko also reported a price of roughly 317 USD, up 17.6%, market cap of about 3.59 billion USD, and total market volume of over 734 million USD.

The move is strong, but not FOMO—wait for a pullback and then go in hard. After a hot rally, buying immediately around 317–320 would widen the stop-loss area, while the upside to the near-term peak at 325.5 is no longer that attractive. A better plan is to be patient and wait for TAO to return to the support zone 309.5–312.0.

This zone is not a random number. The current session’s VWAP is near 309.5, and the 15-minute EMA50 is also around 309.6; meanwhile, the 309–312 area has repeatedly shown buy-support after sharp breakouts. On the higher timeframe, the structure is still tilting upward: price is about 303.65 above the 1-hour EMA20, about 285.65 above the 1-hour EMA50, and about 274.70 above the 4-hour EMA20. In short, the trend is still strong, but the current entry point is already hot.

REFERENCE PRICE: 317.4 USDT

ENTRY ON A RETEST: 309.5–312.0 USDT

SL: 302.8 USDT

TP1: 325.5 USDT

TP2: 333.9 USDT

TP3: 341.0 USDT

R:R: 1.3 / 2.2 / 2.9, calculated at an unfavorable entry of 312.0 and assuming total fees plus slippage of 0.16%

Trigger condition: Price must pull back into the Entry zone, then the 15-minute candle closes and reclaims 312.0; at the same time, the 1-hour structure must still hold the 309.5–312.0 area. Touching Entry without a confirming candle means no action.

Cancel the trade when: A 1-hour candle closes below 302.8 before the trigger, or price runs straight up to hit 325.5 before returning to the Entry zone. Do not move the Entry level up to chase price.

Validity period: 23:00 on 22/09/2026 (UTC+7).

If the setup is triggered, TP1 is a short-term peak area, so it’s suitable to reduce part of the position. TP2 and TP3 should only be held if price breaks above 325.5 with a clearly closed candle—not just a spike and withdrawal. The key takeaway of this plan is accepting that you may miss the trade if TAO doesn’t bounce back; missing is better than turning a good setup into a buy-at-the-peak done out of excitement.

Regarding the project context, Bittensor announced a V461 upgrade to Basket Trading in September. The official documentation also clearly states that the trading function is deployed in a locked state and needs to be activated through governance. This is an important development context for the ecosystem, but it is not sufficient proof to claim it directly caused the current price up-move.
