According to CoinDesk, Hana Bank, the second-largest bank in South Korea, issued a $100 million foreign-currency digital bond through Euroclear’s distributed ledger infrastructure D-FMI, becoming the first Korean financial institution to directly issue bonds using Euroclear’s blockchain infrastructure. Bond allocation and payments were completed on the issuance date, shortening the traditional settlement cycle of 3–5 business days to T+0; Standard Chartered served as the sole bookrunner.
