Today, BitMine—where Tom Lee serves as chairman—again withdrew 12,500 ETH from Kraken, worth about $34.55 million. Shortly before this, BitMine had added roughly 27,562 ETH within a week, bringing its total holdings to about 5.98 million ETH, close to 4.9% of ETH’s total supply.
What’s even more worth watching is that there are no signs of the funding slowing down. Large amounts of ETH continue to be transferred from exchanges to institutional addresses. If these coins keep moving into long-term holding or staking, the tradeable supply could tighten further, and BitMine’s pace of absorbing ETH could keep accelerating.
Nearly 6 million coins might only be on the way.
