BTC hits 86,000, and lately lots of people have asked me: “Has the bull market arrived?”
Every time, I ask them a question back: What do you think a bull market is?
For many people, a bull market means crypto prices rise every day. Whatever you buy doubles. If you just go all-in, you can make money. And the number on your account keeps jumping.
But the bull market I understand isn’t a price level—it’s a process.
A process where regulation becomes clearer,
institutions become more involved,
applications become more widespread,
and the user base keeps growing.
Price is just the result of this process, not the process itself.
When the ETF got approved in 2024, many people thought, “The bull market is already at the top.” But then BTC went on to rise two more times.
In 2025, when BTC reached 120,000, everyone thought, “The bull market can go even higher.” Then it turned around and dropped 40%.
See? Price is the most misleading thing in the short term.
What truly determines whether you can make money isn’t whether you can accurately predict “whether the bull market is here.”
It’s whether you can position yourself early while most people still haven’t figured it out,
stay clear-headed when most people are getting狂热,
and hold on when most people are in despair.
So don’t ask, “Has the bull market arrived?”
Ask yourself instead:
Do you like the long-term prospects of this industry? Is your position comfortable? Even if it drops another 20%, can you hold?
Think through these three questions—
it’s a hundred times more important than guessing whether the bull market is here or not.
Good night.
