What the market lacks least is people who only hear “regulation” as noise.

PANews September 22—stablecoin infrastructure company Agora said it has received the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) preliminary conditional approval to establish a national trust bank that will be federally chartered and regulated. The charter would place Agora’s stablecoin, custody, and trading infrastructure under direct federal oversight.

The highlights of this kind of progress are clear: on one side, stablecoin, custody, and trading infrastructure are brought into a more directly regulated federal framework; on the other, it also means that subsequent enforcement and compliance requirements will receive even more attention. Would you rather look at its long-term impact on stablecoin infrastructure, or watch the real pace once federal regulation is implemented?
