Survival comes first; profit is just a reward

In this line of work, people often obsess over finding winning orders, but the real thing that keeps us standing in the market for the long term is risk management. There are times when the market goes crazy—like the recent volatility—people get carried away by the excitement, but I still stick to my principles.

Never let a single order “wipe out” the entire account. That’s the hard-earned lesson I learned. CZ once said: the most important thing is protecting assets; everything else is about building and being patient. I usually risk no more than 1–2% of the total account per trade, and I always determine the exit point and the stop-loss level before entering the trade. Once it exceeds that threshold, even if I regret it, I still have to be decisive.
