Market overview: BTC current price is 86,436. It surged 6.24% in the past 24 hours, with a high of 87,395 and a low of 80,850. Trading volume increased by nearly 32,000 coins; a single large bullish candle immediately broke through the previous high.
Technical analysis: 1-hour RSI is 77.79, and 4-hour RSI is 83.72—fully overbought. On the 4-hour chart, this reading is already at a "heating up" level, indicating severe short-term overextension. MACD shows a bullish cross across three timeframes in resonance, with the bullish alignment intact. However, price is already pressing above the 4-hour Bollinger upper band at 86,750 and above the daily upper band at 85,313—typical of a "runaway" trend. Only if resistance at 87,395 is broken will there be new room; otherwise, it will most likely pull back to 85,135 (1-hour MA20) for a corrective repair.
Liquidity conditions: the funding fee rate is 0.0076%, which is relatively mild. But the large-holder long/short positions ratio is 2.1776—longs are clearly crowded. Meanwhile, the retail accounts ratio is 0.8925, which is actually slightly bearish. Smart money and “greenhorns” are starting to bet against each other; this kind of structure often first drives a needle (a quick shake-out) and then moves on. Active buy orders are slightly stronger; there are 109,000 open positions (10.9万枚), and leverage is building up.
What to watch today: the Fear and Greed Index is 78, extremely greedy. My view: bearish—this isn’t about saying the trend is down, but at this level the risk-reward for chasing longs is very poor. I’d rather wait for a pullback to 85,500–85,000 and then reassess. If it spikes but can’t break 87,395, be careful of a fake breakout. Only after a level is broken and holds steadily should we talk about making new highs.
