A 37-year-old Irvine, California woman, Iris Rabaya Au, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for failing to report more than $2.6 million in illegal income to the IRS. According to ChainCatcher, she was also ordered to pay $1.484 million in restitution and forfeit assets including luxury cars, high-performance vehicles, designer handbags, and three "Godfather" statues.

Prosecutors said that from 2020 to 2024, Adam Iza obtained millions of dollars in unreported income by fraudulently acquiring Meta advertising accounts and credit lines and then selling access to those accounts. At Iza's direction, Au set up shell companies and bank accounts, used the funds to pay about $1 million to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies, and spent money on mansions, cars, jewelry, and clothing. Prosecutors also said the pair spent nearly $10 million on entertainment and used about $16 million to buy cryptocurrency for Iza.

Au transferred more than $2.6 million into her personal bank accounts from 2020 to 2023 but did not accurately report the income on federal tax returns. She pleaded guilty in March 2025 to one count of filing a false tax return. Iza pleaded guilty in January 2025 to charges including conspiracy against rights, wire fraud, and tax evasion, with sentencing scheduled for October 5. He was also sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his role in an attempted Bitcoin robbery and kidnapping case in Connecticut in August 2024.
