[TRX This Week: Moving Sideways—But Sideways Itself Shows the Problem]
Today TRX is up 0.3%. A week ago it was +1.1%, and a month ago it’s basically been flat. Doesn’t that number look kind of boring, right? But boredom is the point.
Have you noticed that the whole altcoin market lately has reached a consensus on this “boring” thing? The Fear & Greed Index is 70 today; last week’s average was 62—both fall in the greed zone—but the actual price action has been sluggish and hesitant. When trading volume shrinks like that, what does it mean? Everyone’s calling it bullish, but their hands are still watching and waiting.
What does this mean in practice?
BTC’s current market share is 59%, and it’s nearly touching the 60% line. Every time BTC’s dominance rises quickly, alts either scramble to catch up or get drained directly. TRX is basically betting on this—if BTC holds steady, it has a chance; if BTC pulls back, this thing drops faster than anyone.
I’ve seen too many of these “waiting for direction sideways” patterns since 2017. Consolidation isn’t always power-building—more often it’s “finding reasons to drop.” Of course, it could also genuinely be accumulating strength—but the issue is, I’m not sure, so I choose not to bet.
My view for this week hasn’t really changed: be cautious, but don’t go fully out of the market. What changed it? Nothing—nothing changed. It just further confirmed the old saying: “Volume doesn’t lie.” If the money doesn’t move, people’s minds won’t be stable.
So what mindset do you have right now? Can you hold up in this kind of sideways action?
