According to CNBC, Intel jumped more than 13% to about $123 a share, Advanced Micro Devices rose 9% to touch a $1 trillion market cap, and Arm Holdings climbed more than 15% as investors bought semiconductor stocks tied to central processing unit demand. Qualcomm gained more than 8%, while Nvidia and Broadcom rose a more muted 2% and 1%, respectively. President Donald Trump said he is open to discussions with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in New York this week at the UN General Assembly, and The New York Times reported that Trump has opted not to strike Iran-allied Houthi in Yemen, at least for now. Meta's Muse personal agent app, which debuted on Sept. 8, has risen to No. 1 among free apps on Apple's App Store over the past few days, and Wells Fargo raised its price target on Meta to $796 from $640 and reiterated a buy rating.
