It’s not because I’m overly bullish on it. It’s because two things made me think, “That’s kind of interesting.”: Kyle Samani said SOL would flippen ETH, and that “no one is really using Ethereum right now”; ZetaChain plans to migrate from Cosmos to Solana.
First, the claim is too controversial—I’m not taking sides. But the second one? I think it’s more reliable than Samani’s mouth—project teams “vote with their feet.” You can’t fake that. If Cosmos is perfectly fine as an L1 and still chooses not to do that anymore, and instead moves to Solana—what’s the reason? Is it because it can’t survive where it is? Or does it believe Solana can offer it better development?
That’s the question I want to ask: what does this mean in practical terms?
Migrating a project isn’t something you can just announce and be done with. Code has to be rewritten, users have to migrate, and the ecosystem needs to be reconnected. In plain terms, this is real money and real effort.
If a project like ZetaChain thinks Solana is worth all this trouble, what does that imply? It implies that Solana’s infrastructure is already mature enough to make other-chain projects willing to relocate.
Of course, there’s one point I’m still stuck on and can’t quite figure out: can a project migration truly translate into active users and ecosystem value? I can’t promise that. After all, historically, we’ve seen too many scripts like “XX project migrates to XX chain” that pump in the short term, then continue to drift downward.
But one thing I admit—recently SOL’s momentum really has been strong, with decent trading volume, and sentiment is sitting in the greed zone. In a moment like this, if you say you’re totally not paying attention, you’re just lying to yourself.
