Russia's crypto industry may be able to begin operating legally by the end of 2026 as regulations advance, according to reports. According to NS3.AI, Central bank deputy governor Vladimir Chistyukhin said subordinate rules could be completed before the end of 2026, while bitcoin payments would remain banned.
Sberbank also plans to launch a bitcoin and crypto wallet, along with digital-asset custody services, by December.
