According to CryptoQuant, Bitcoin’s hashrate is rising again after ending its recent bearish trend, indicating renewed miner activity. Historically, analysts on platforms closely watch this behavior because a recovery in miner activity often reflects medium- and long-term confidence in the ecosystem’s stability.

An increase in hashrate automatically forces an upward adjustment in the mining difficulty in the network’s following periods, which raises energy and operating costs per mined block. It also suggests miners are connecting new equipment or restarting facilities that had been paused due to falling profitability or high operating costs.

According to Glassnode, the stacked short positions between US$82,000 and US$86,000 are now helping push the price of Bitcoin higher as traders rush to cover. As the price began to rise and broke through resistances, these investors became trapped. To avoid larger losses—or because their positions were liquidated by exchanges—traders were forced to automatically buy back BTC to close their shorts.

Glassnode specifically noted that this liquidation wall previously acted as a magnet or resistance, but once it was surpassed, the bears’ own covering ended up pushing the price to the top of the zone.
