When I first saw that PancakeSwap opened subscriptions for $pPOLY, my first reaction was also:

Is Polymarket going to issue tokens?

so is it still an IPO?

so how can something even called “stock” be eligible for a Pancake new listing?

But after digging further into the information from Binance, Pancake, and Paimon, I found that it’s not that simple at all.

Let’s start with the conclusion:

$pPOLY isn’t an official Polymarket token,

And it’s not Polymarket stock,

It’s not an IPO allocation either.

More precisely, it is defined as:

“On-chain economic exposure of SPVs related to Polymarket private equity.”

Simply put, it means:

I → buy pPOLY

↓

Paimon / SPV

↓

Holding Polymarket-related private-market equity rights

So I won’t directly appear on Polymarket’s shareholder registry: no direct voting rights, and I also can’t demand Polymarket shares just because I hold pPOLY.

But what’s really interesting is the price.

This subscription:

$pPOLY = $15.5

Total size is about $4.8 million.

On-chain data shows the maximum supply is 1 billion, so the market currently generally uses:

15.5 × 1 billion = $15.5B

Think of it as Polymarket’s implied valuation.

What price was Polymarket’s most recent funding round?

By the end of August, the latest funding round was about $1B, and the reported post-money valuation has already reached:

$21B.

If—note, if—pPOLY’s equity rights really follow this full mapping of Polymarket’s SPV economic equity for these 1 billion shares,

So:

$15.5B vs $21B

That’s roughly a 26% discount.

Let’s use a more intuitive algorithm instead:

If $15.5 ≈ $15.5B,

Then the reference price corresponding to $21B is roughly $21.

In other words, there’s theoretically about 35% of price room between the subscription price and the latest private-market valuation.

Doesn’t it suddenly look pretty appealing?

But this is exactly the part I think is the biggest risk.

Because so far I haven’t seen pPOLY’s complete publicly available exclusive legal terms that tell me:

① For 1 pPOLY, how much SPV equity does it correspond to exactly?

② How many Polymarket shares does the SPV actually hold?

③ Is there third-party proof of assets?

④ After Polymarket’s IPO, does pPOLY get exchanged for shares, exchanged for cash, or does it continue trading?

⑤ What if Polymarket doesn’t IPO for 3 years?

In other products like Paimon’s SpaceX and Kalshi offerings, they actually spell out the underlying shareholdings, SPV, conversion, and redemption mechanisms quite clearly.

So the thing I most want to wait for right now isn’t Polymarket’s official token launch.

Instead,

pPOLY’s full Term Sheet + Proof of Assets.

There’s another spot that’s very easy to get wrong.

Binance Wallet is up and running again:

POLYMARKET/USD1 perpetual contract.

The market price even briefly reached $27~28.

So many people immediately calculate:

15.5 → $28 → close to a doubling.

I don’t buy this logic for now.

because:

$pPOLY

≠ POLYMARKET/USD1 Perp

≠ Polymarket stock

≠ the future Polymarket official Token.

These are four completely different things.

Especially the official Token. Currently, Polymarket has still not officially announced a TGE or an Airdrop.

So what truly interests me here isn’t just Polymarket.

Rather than that, the bigger thing that Binance Wallet + Pancake + Paimon are trying to do is:

What used to be limited to only VCs, funds, and high-net-worth individuals to participate in,

SpaceX

OpenAI

Anthropic

Polymarket

these kinds of Pre-IPO private-market assets,

Through SPV + Tokenization,

Trade directly on-chain.

if this whole model really works,

The next phase of RWA might not even be “treasuries on-chain” anymore.

Instead,

“On-chain private markets for the world’s top unlisted companies.”

This market might be much bigger than I originally imagined.

As for pPOLY, I’m not just asking only this:

“How much can it rise at the open on the 24th?”

I’m more concerned with:

“Legally and at the asset level, what exactly does this Token in my hands correspond to?”

Figuring this out is the real Alpha.
