Bitcoin back to 80,000, but this rally is “very strange”
BTC has broken above 81,000, but the driving logic is different from what most people think.

Within 24 hours, $238 million worth of BTC shorts were liquidated. Coinbase rose 11.7%, and MSTR jumped 16.4%. ETF flows shifted from consecutive outflows to a net inflow of $159.5 million on a single day.
But pay attention to one detail: the CFTC’s rules won’t take effect until the end of 2027. The current run-up is pricing the “regulatory narrative,” not “regulatory implementation.”
