It really did grind all day, and then in the middle of the night it suddenly exploded. ⚠️ My assessment about yesterday’s volatility consolidation was right for 18 hours, and then the last 6 hours were met with a head-fake from shorts—brutal upside surge that slapped me in the face. The breakout came much faster than I expected. What happened? BTC pushed from 81,178 all the way to a high of 86,344, up +5.9% in a single day. Daily trading volume was 24,927 BTC, which is more than double the combined total of the previous two days. This isn’t a gentle climb—it’s short liquidations colliding with an institutional buy-wall. The technicals confirm it: price directly pierced through the upper Bollinger Band at 83,717 and closed above it. Daily RSI jumped to 70.6—back in the bullish zone, but not yet manic. MA5 (81,136) is already far above MA10 (78,984) and MA20 (78,897): textbook bullish alignment. MACD histogram +708, with momentum accelerating and expanding. Fundamentals also support it: yesterday’s ETF net inflow was $433 million, and there were also enterprise-level buyers adding another 950 BTC. This is real demand—not just derivatives propping the market. But the report also noted that the short-term RSI once surged to 92, an extreme overbought condition. Translating it: the trend is very strong, but chasing in right now is dangerous. Today I’m watching a level: 86,444, today’s intraday high. Why that one? Because if BTC can reclaim 86,444 and do it with volume, then above that—88,000 to 90,000—there’s almost no resistance and it could move quickly. But if it fails to reach that level and starts falling again, that would suggest the breakout momentum is already used up. Next would be a pullback to confirm the breakout level at 83,700 as support. My plan: if price and volume rise together and it breaks higher at 86,444, I’ll follow the trend. If it can’t break through, I’ll first take profits and wait for a pullback to 83,700.
