Today I started trading at 02:00, literally like a lion stalking its prey.
I waited for my setup, laid out the trade I wanted, and for almost 4 hours the market practically did what I’d projected.
I even had around +900 USD in floating profit.
I moved my trade to Break Even and decided to wait for my TP.
It didn’t hit.
The price ended up coming back and I got out flat.
What’s interesting is that, before it happened, I got that feeling a few times: “that’s it, I should get out of here.”
But I didn’t.
And that left me with a question spinning around:
Is that a lack of skill or too much greed?
Because technically I respected my plan. I protected the capital and didn’t end up losing.
But I also had an important gain right in front of me and decided not to take it, waiting for something more.
Sometimes managing a trade feels harder than finding the entry.
How do you handle these cases?
Do you stick to the TP all the way to the end, take partials, or do you prefer to close when you feel the move lost momentum?
