【PUMP dropped by half—what am I looking at?】

Back in 2021, when it made a fortune, I actually got in from a position like this—thinking I was picking up a bargain, but in reality I was catching a flying knife. So this time I’ve learned my lesson: first observe, don’t act; let the market speak for itself.

PUMP is now around 0.004, down from its peak by roughly half. Honestly, I’ve been watching this level for two weeks—not because it’s cheap, but because the trading volume has been unusually amplified. Volume can’t lie—someone is churning heavily at this level, and it’s not the kind of move retail investors can pull off.

So the question is: who’s buying? Who’s selling?

The buyers are either old funds that built positions early and are propping the price, or new money that thinks the dip is deep enough to come in and test the waters. The sellers are likely the stop-loss crowd that entered during the high of the 2021 run, or early profit-takers cashing out. When these two forces collide, the volume naturally spikes.

But volume alone isn’t enough. I’m currently stuck at the resistance level—0.004601. If it can hold, then there’s something to play for afterward; if it can’t hold, the support below at 0.003993 is still there—that’s a different story.

BTC dominance is 58.9%, honestly a bit high. Every time BTC dominance spikes, small coins lose their independence. If PUMP can carve out an independent trend from this point, it means there’s real substance; if it just follows BTC, then right now we’re basically waiting for BTC to tell us which way to go.

The sentiment index is 70—not crazy, but not low either. This is the hardest kind of situation to trade—not the FOMO moment when everyone’s euphoric, and not the good time to buy during despairing dips either. It’s that awkward limbo hovering in midair.

My mindset right now is: watch the show, but don’t close my eyes. My hands are itching for sure, but I don’t have a clear enough “get in” signal. The injuries from 2021 taught me this: it’s better to miss the trade than to chase the top.

So what’s everyone’s mindset right now? Are you going to dare to get in on this move?
