Technical update (SIMD-0525):
The “Anza” development team announced the activation of the third phase of Solana’s structural update. Current outcome: the block production time (Blocktime) has been reduced from 300 to 250 milliseconds. This means the network is now producing 4 blocks per second instead of 3.3. Although this increases the speed of processing transactions, experts explained that the amount of data inside each block has shrunk by the same proportion, so the network’s maximum total capacity has not changed yet.
