🚨 🛑 Stop Loss isn’t your enemy!
The beginner trader asks:
“How much will I make?”
The smart trader asks first:
“Where do I admit that my analysis was wrong?”
And here comes the Stop Loss.
🎯 What is a Stop Loss?
It’s an order used to exit the trade when the price reaches a level that proves your trading idea is no longer valid.
Example:
You entered BTC at $100,000.
You decided that a break below $98,500 invalidates your idea.
➡️ $98,500 can be the level where the idea is canceled.
If the price reaches it, you exit according to your plan instead of letting the loss grow.
❌ Common mistake:
“I’ll set my Stop Loss way too close so I lose less.”
What’s the problem?
Price may hit the stop due to market noise, then move in the direction you expected.
So don’t set the stop randomly.
🧠 The rule:
First, determine where the idea becomes invalid → then calculate the trade size based on the distance to the Stop Loss.
Don’t do the opposite.
🛡️ Risk management:
Stop Loss does not completely eliminate losses, and Slippage may occur under some market conditions.
Its main goal:
Protect capital and prevent a single trade from destroying the account.
🔥 Today’s lesson:
“Stop Loss is not a place for fear…
It’s the place where you tell the market: ‘My analysis is no longer valid, and I will protect my capital.’”
