Now BTC has already broken through 8.4w. Keep looking at this chart. I think the main difference between these two scenarios boils down to one key level: whether 8.4w can truly hold.
Because 8.4w itself is already the recent high point and also a clearly visible resistance level in this market cycle.
If BTC can effectively hold above 84,000, and then after a pullback it can still hold, that would indicate that the sell pressure overhead has been largely absorbed, and the market structure would be stronger as a result. Then moving toward 85,000 and even making new highs would be much smoother.
But if it only briefly breaks above 8.4w and then quickly drops back down, then the significance of the breakout isn’t very meaningful—it’s more like a false breakout. In that case, the market is likely to keep ranging.
