Tare announced the completion of a $13.25 million seed round, with investors including Strobe Ventures, The Venture Dept, Neoclassic Capital, and the Avalanche Foundation.
Built on Avalanche, the project is not simply about moving loan assets on-chain. Instead, it uses a blockchain shared ledger to connect the process of loan origination, ledger record-keeping, and post-loan management. In traditional private credit, back-office systems are often fragmented. Data reconciliation, contract transfer, and asset monitoring rely heavily on manual work, keeping operational costs high.
What Tare aims to solve is the least glamorous but most rigid pain point in this workflow: ensuring that data across the entire loan lifecycle moves through a single trusted ledger.
The Avalanche Foundation’s participation also suggests that public-chain ecosystems are continuing to extend toward institutional-grade financial infrastructure. Going forward, two things will be key: the speed at which traditional credit institutions can integrate, and the scale of management once real private credit assets are tokenized and put on-chain.
