Bitcoin (BTC) hit a peak of $80,402 on September 20, while recent pullback swings have all been absorbed by buyers in the $75,000–$77,000 zone.
This surge comes with a supply source ratio that becomes profitable, up to 71%, but it also makes the risk of taking profits more obvious. At the same time, the price spread indicator for Bitcoin in South Korea turns negative, reflecting weaker domestic demand.

Bitcoin reached $80,402, about 25.6% higher than 90 days ago.
The share of profitable BTC supply increased from about 45% to 71%.
The Bitcoin price differential index in South Korea fell to -1.46%.
Bitcoin support zone pushed higher
Bitcoin is forming a bullish structure as buying power consistently protects higher price zones after each pullback.
From mid-June, the lows of adjustment waves shifted from the $60,000 area to above $77,000 by the end of August. In the recent pullbacks to the $75,000–$77,000 range, buyers absorbed sell pressure and brought BTC back up.
This development reduces the market’s dependence on the old support zone of $60,000–$65,000. Keeping the new support zones will be an important factor for Bitcoin’s broader bullish structure.

Key figures around the $80,000 milestone
Bitcoin reached $80,402 on September 20, while the profits for holders and demand in the South Korean market are sending mixed signals.
Bitcoin price index — Indicator — Meaning — Peak price (20/9): $80,402. Higher by about 25.6% compared with 90 days earlier. Price range protected by buyers: $75,000–$77,000. The share of profitable Bitcoin supply rises to 71%
The share of Bitcoin supply that is in profit increased from about 45% to 71% after the BTC price recovered from the June bottom.
As more investors move into a profitable position, the likelihood of taking profits around the $80,000 price area also increases. However, there is still about 29% of supply at a loss, so broad profit-taking sell pressure may not appear immediately.
The 71% level has not yet entered the 75–90% range, which was associated with stronger distribution activity in previous cycles. Therefore, Bitcoin is in an improved profit position, but the risk of taking profits still needs to be monitored.

Weaker Bitcoin demand in South Korea
The Bitcoin price differential index in South Korea has shifted from positive to negative and touched -1.46%, indicating a decline in domestic buying demand.
A negative index means Bitcoin on South Korean exchanges is priced lower than the international market. This change occurred when BTC was trading around $80,400, near recent peak levels.
This index has mostly remained below 0 in the months after June. Weak demand from the South Korean market may limit Bitcoin’s upside momentum unless global demand offsets it.
