$BTC trading volume has already spoken; the price is still waiting for confirmation
First, take a look at the order book: As of 12:02 Beijing time on September 21, Binance’s $BTC spot price is 81,460.01 USDT, and OKX is at 81,464.40. The 1-hour trading volume is about 1.13 times the mid-range of the past ~20 intervals. OI (open interest) is up +0.22% over the past hour, and the funding rate is +0.0085%.
If we break it down by timeframe, the changes are -0.06% for 15 minutes, +0.14% for 1 hour, and +0.30% for 4 hours. 80,165.49 below and 82,100.00 above are the two current structural boundary levels.
My understanding is: price, volume, and positioning have not yet formed a one-sided resonance. At the moment, it’s more suitable to observe within the range. Another interpretation is that both long and short sides adjust their positions at the same time, and one side temporarily gains the upper hand on the short-term; the public OI data by itself cannot tell us who is acting more proactively. If the price moves back into the middle of the range, the earlier directional judgment becomes invalid. First, see whether 82,100.00 can hold; then check whether 80,165.49 breaks down.
This is only an observation of public market data and does not constitute investment advice.
