During the event held at the 51 branches, which marked a historic day for Bancamiga with the highest number of accounts opened in a single day, minors received the Mastercard Kids Debit Card for free.

In an unprecedented day, this Saturday saw the Bancamiga Kids special operation become a reality, banking 15,400 children and teenagers across the country as part of the back-to-school period.

Since 9:00 in the morning, Bancamiga opened the doors of its 51 branches, which were filled with minors who, accompanied by their parents, received the free Mastercard Kids Debit Card, thus taking their first steps in the financial world.

The Head of Commercial Banking, Yoiver Valenzuela, expressed his satisfaction with the activity. It was observed that parents and children were excited to have a financial instrument that makes their day-to-day easier, along with hundreds of employees committed to providing quality service.

During the event, children and teens aged 9 to 17 who had been issued IDs chose their card. With Contactless technology (no contact), it allows them to pay at national point-of-sale locations quickly and securely. They can also top up their Movistar or Digitel lines and check their balance via Bancamiga Online.

Bancamiga’s special operation became a time to share as a family, with raffles, music, and face painting that filled children and adults with joy.

“From the moment we arrived and started to form the line, the service was wonderful. The staff was very attentive. They explained everything related to the requirements and offered us coffee, water, soft drinks, and even hot dogs,” said Marilyn Figuera, one of the mothers in Altamira who accompanied her son to open his account.

With this event, Bancamiga reaffirmed its commitment once again to bring more Venezuelans into the banking system, putting in their hands financial tools that improve their quality of life.
