Uniswap co-founder Hayden Adams revealed an old drama: a former owner of Uniswap.com once quoted a seven-figure price. The team refused—unwilling to be extorted. Little did they know, SBF later bought the domain for another seven figures, and pointed it to a forked website—probably to show off or cause trouble.

Then the plot flipped: because the domain was being used maliciously, Uniswap’s legal team stepped in and ultimately got the domain back without spending a single cent. In other words, SBF paid a high price and then “gave it back” for free.

This is arguably one of the most expensive brand pranks in the crypto world, and it also serves as a reminder to every project: main domains, imitation sites, and phishing redirects have never been trivial matters.
