In January, she stopped serving as the legal representative of Zhuhai Gree Electronic Components Co., Ltd.; in May, she left Zhuhai Gree Prefabricated Dish Equipment Technology Development Co., Ltd. Going further back, in August 2025, Zhuhai Zero Boundary Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. also changed its personnel.
All three of these companies are newly set up by Gree in recent years as part of its diversification. Their registered capitals are not large, but the matters are not small. As the legal representative, she would bear joint liability for the operations of the subsidiaries. Removing this title is the cheapest form of risk management. The risks remain within the company, and her name is taken off the contracts—everything is clean and straightforward on both sides.
What’s interesting is what happens on the other end. In August, she also became the legal representative of Zhuhai Gree Technical School. She moved into a school and left three companies. She is still the chairman of Gree Electric Appliances. She stepped down from the position but kept the identity—between going in and out, the books are clearly balanced.
