ME News message, September 21 (UTC+8). According to Bitcoin Magazine, in an interview video posted by Bitcoin Magazine, Strategy CEO Phong Le said the company’s goal is not to become a mere bitcoin holding company, but to become “JPMorgan in the bitcoin space”—by creating products, building markets, and providing liquidity to the digital asset economy, serving an economy he believes could eventually cover 8 billion people. Phong Le said that Strategy’s digital credit ecosystem is currently about $15 billion in size, and that the yield and tokenized products built by DeFi protocols on top of STRC are more important than the products Strategy itself has launched. He also discussed why the company chose to repurchase rather than increase STRC dividends, as well as how he views the digital credit business after experiencing a period of pressure. With respect to its bitcoin strategy, Strategy follows a two-way approach that balances long-term accumulation with flexibility, treating bitcoin as a near-cash item on the balance sheet. Le also addressed questions related to the MSCI index, saying the company is working from a principles-based position against being excluded, and revealed that AI tools have been embedded into various parts of Strategy’s software and bitcoin business.
