The UK Reform Party Considers a Crypto Industry Union to Sidestep the Ban on Foreign Donations
The chief adviser of the British Reform Party, Arron Banks, said the party could form an industrial union called the Allied Computer & Crypto Workers Union (ACCAW) if the Labour Party introduces a ban on foreign donations. The union would cover workers in IT, AI and cryptocurrencies, according to the report. According to Foresight News, Banks also said the party is considering another option: sending large numbers of Reform Party supporters to other unions to carry out a "reverse takeover" of existing labour organizations.
The report said that crypto billionaires Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne—both long-time residents abroad—previously jointly donated £72 million to the Reform Party. The Labour Party then announced plans to introduce new residency requirements and retroactively declare the donations illegal.
